I created a SkyDrive folder and then gave 5 of my work colleagues access to read/write/upload/delete files from that folder. So far so good.
But when my colleagues go to their own SkyDrive home pages, the shared folder is nowhere to be found. When they click on "documents shared with me" the list is blank.
They can get to the folder when they click on the link I sent them, but how can they browse to the folder from their SkyDrive page?
Does Hotmail or Outlook.com have a similar feature?
Yes, Outlook.com has that feature as of this week.
If yes, how does it work?
This blog article explains how it works. It works the same as with Gmail.
Example
Say your email address is myname@outlook.com.
You can add something with a plus + sign.
So, sending an email to myname+mailinglist_topic_x@outlook.com will still be delivered to myname@outlook.com.
Then you can create a rule with, for example, the filter To-line contains myname+mailinglist_topic_x@outlook.com and redirect those emails to another folder.

Be sure to sign into Dropbox/register with the email address that the folder was shared with. After registering and signing in, you should be able to click the "Files" shortcut from the left sidebar.
This will load a directory listing. The shared folders are indicated by an icon with two people, as depicted in this partial screenshot:
Clicking on the shared folder should reveal any files/pics that the person sharing it already uploaded. You can in turn upload files & pics to the same folder for that person to be able to access/see.

Looking for this also, apparently it's under development or still being considered as an option to be build later since October 2010.
I think this is the best way to get microsoft to work on this problem.
