Hi I'm looking for a inline (sliding switch?)
When it's in the middle, it be in the off state
When it's slid to the right it turns a red led on
When it's slid to the left it turns a green led on
I'm sure this is simple but I cant seem to find a switch that dose what I need
Also it would be great if I could get a simple wiring diagram for what I need.
You need a resistor between the LED pin and ground. Try anywhere from 220 to 1K ohm. The LED, being a type of diode, will allow as much current as it can if directly connected from power to ground.
If it blew a fuse, it's possibly blown the LED too... but you may be lucky.
The 555 can either source or sink quite a considerable amount of current (like 200mA). Thus the transistor shown in the circuit isn't necessary (IMHO) for something like an LED. You can connect one LED from + to the output and another from output to GND. Like this:
Note - I've a feeling that the 555 doesn't have a high value that's equal to Vcc but slightly less than it. Which means that when LED2 is on, LED1 might be a little on too (anyone?)

They're indeed called slide switches and typically look like this one from NKK:
This one has solder lugs, but you'll find many for PCB mount, either straight or at a 90° angle. Digikey has dozens of type in hundreds on stock, though you may find it difficult to locate switches with the LEDs built-in.
A minor disadvantage may be that almost all of these slide switches have a very limited travel, often no more than a few mm.
