C# – How to add new DataRow into DataTable

I have a DataGridView binded to a DataTable (DataTable binded to database). I need to add a DataRow to the DataTable. I'm trying to use the following code:

dataGridViewPersons.BindingContext[table].EndCurrentEdit();
DataRow row = table.NewRow();

for (int i = 0; i < 28; i++)
{
    row[i] = i.ToString();
}

But it doesn't work, DataGridView has never been added a new row. Please, tell me, how can I fix my code?

You can try with this code - based on Rows.Add method

DataTable table = new DataTable();
DataRow row = table.NewRow();
table.Rows.Add(row);

You can't query against the DataTable's Rows collection, since DataRowCollection doesn't implement IEnumerable<T>. You need to use the AsEnumerable() extension for DataTable. Like so:

var results = from myRow in myDataTable.AsEnumerable()

And as @Keith says, you'll need to add a reference to System.Data.DataSetExtensions

AsEnumerable() returns IEnumerable<DataRow>. If you need to convert IEnumerable<DataRow> to a DataTable, use the CopyToDataTable() extension.

Below is query with Lambda Expression,

var result = myDataTable
    .AsEnumerable()
    .Where(myRow => myRow.Field<int>("RowNo") == 1);

From an int:

YourEnum foo = (YourEnum)yourInt;

From a string:

YourEnum foo = (YourEnum) Enum.Parse(typeof(YourEnum), yourString);

if (!Enum.IsDefined(typeof(YourEnum), foo) && !foo.ToString().Contains(","))
{
    throw new InvalidOperationException($"{yourString} is not an underlying value of the YourEnum enumeration.")
}
