Remove the ads from the top and bottom of the Tumblr page

In my Tumblr page I have ads on the top and the bottom and even when I change the theme they don’t disappear. Can I remove the ads from the top and bottom of my Tumblr page?

Banner ads aren't a feature of Tumblr as yet. One possible culprit is the "IWantThis!" browser extension according to this article, which injects ads onto pages you visit.

The easiest way to check is probably to run through the uninstall instructions for your browser provided at the end of the FAQ here.

Found a way of doing it! Wrap it in PermalinkPagination blocks:

   ...disqus code...
{/block:PermalinkPagination}

PermalinkPagination only shows on posts (actually, it only shows on posts if they have a previous and/or a next post, so it won't work on blogs with only one post) and not static pages. You can use it within the context of a PermalinkPage block to include content that should only show on post pages rather than static pages.

You can use PermalinkPagination numerous times in the template.

Does Tumblr ever show adverts on your blog

Nope, tumblr as a service will not automatically put ads on your page, but you can always ad them in yourself via their 'additional html' box or if you create your own theme you could put the code for ads in there too.
